The new CSDX rotary screw compressor range from KAESER

KAESER’s new fluid-cooled CSDX rotary screw compressor range combines outstanding performance and energy efficiency with a versatile and compact compressor design. Motor powers of either 75 or 90 kW provide air deliveries of 9.8 to 16.1 m³/min and the units are designed for pressures up to 15 bar. Furthermore, these high performance compressed air systems from KAESER provide significant energy savings:

1. The rotors in KAESER airends are designed with the flow-optimised “SIGMA PROFILE”, which is up to 15% more efficient than conventional rotor profiles. 
2. CSDX packages are powered by EU-eff1 drive motors for maximum performance and reliability. 
3. KAESER’s highly efficient 1:1 drive design means that the airend is directly driven by the motor and therefore eliminates the transmission losses associated with gear or V-belt drive systems.
4. KAESER’s internal PC-based SIGMA CONTROL compressor controller has five pre-programmed control options that enable compressor performance to be precisely matched to actual air demand. 

The well-proven and highly effective cooling system design introduced in the DSD series is also used in CSDX series compressor packages. The system ensures very low compressed air outlet temperatures and considerably im proves the efficiency and reliability of downstream air treatment equipment.
As well as standard versions, the CSDX is also available with an integrated refrigeration dryer that allows production and drying of compressed air in a single compact unit. The compressor and dryer are both completely separate, independently functioning modules. This design means that each can be operated individually making it possible to isolate and service the dryer whilst the compressor is operating and prevents exposure of the dryer to any heat from the compressor unit. 
All CSDX units are also available with variable speed drive, which, just like standard control, is designed for optimised efficiency, operational reliability and ease of servicing. 
However, the SIGMA CONTROL’s capabilities are not just restricted to the compressor, as it can also monitor and automatically manage individual compressed air systems such as the dryer or frequency control module and en-ables the compressor system to be remotely accessed via a modem. CSDX units are so advanced they can even be quickly and easiliy connected to a master control system or data network.
