Delivering an impressive 10.6 m³ of compressed air per minute at 10 bar, the new "Mobilair 123" portable compressor from Kaeser Kompressoren is the first of its kind to be equipped as standard with electronic engine control. The innovative "Sigma Control mobile" system ensures reliable and efficient compressed air production at all times. Similar to the "M 122", which was unveiled at the Bauma in spring 2007, the "Mobilair 123" goes one step further and delivers even greater performance. The TCD 2012 L04-type four-cylinder Deutz turbo-diesel engine used in the "M 122" is also used in this latest addition from Kaeser, but features electronically controlled common rail direct injection to achieve a power output of 88 kW at 2100 rpm (M 122: 82 kW at 2300 rpm). This results in impressive pressure and free air delivery figures: Pressure
(bar) | Free Air Delivery
(m³/min) | | 8.6 | 11.4 | | 10 | 10.6 | | 12 | 9.1 | | 14 | 8.1 |
Furthermore, the highly efficient cooling system has been upgraded to match this increase in engine performance and the whole unit sits on a robust AlKo chassis that has a load capacity of 2200 kg.
Available with various equipment options, the "Mobilair 123" provides a flexible source of energy for a wide range of construction site needs: For special applications, the "M 123" can be supplied as a skid-mounted version instead of a standard chassis-mounted model. Optional additional equipment includes air treatment systems to provide cool, dry, technically oil-free air of various classes to meet the special demands of e.g. concrete repair as per German ZTV-SIB regulations, or air of breathing quality for tunnel construction sites.
Sigma Control mobile – The future of portable compressor control Advanced engine management not only enables greater power output, but also significantly enhances fuel efficiency. Therefore, to enable users to take full advantage of the maximum efficiency potential of the "M 123", Kaeser Kompressoren created an innovative electronic control system specifically designed for use with this product range: The "Sigma Control mobile" (SCm) has full access to electronic engine-management and -diagnostics systems and optimises compressed air availability as well as fuel efficiency.
Specially tailored for Kaeser Mobilair products, the SCm was built to withstand the toughest of construction site conditions: A sturdy metal cover protects the control panel, screen and the twelve input keys of the shock- and vibration-resistant control system. Moreover, the system is shielded against electromagnetic interference as per IP 65 standards and can be used in a temperature range from -20 °C to +70 °C. Amongst its many talents, the "Sigma Control mobile" displays key operational data, indicates operational modes, utilises logically structured menus for maximum user-friendliness and enables performance monitoring and remote diagnostics. Further features include engine diagnostics, comprehensive system monitoring and alerts to potential problems and various maintenance messages. Users are therefore able to benefit from all of the advantages that modern compressed air technology has to offer including maximum machine availability and unrivalled system performance.
