Building sites in built-up areas or road works on much used streets frequently suffer from limited space, to say nothing of deadlines and the need for quality work. For such assignments a versatile, small but powerful portable compressor would be a great help. This is why KAESER have developed the new “Mobilair 20” portable compressor, which is being shown at BAUMA 2004 for the first time.
The “Mobilair 20” bears witness to the fact that high output does not necessarily depend on equally high operating weight: The compressor’s FAD of 2 m³ per minute offers ample power for a heavy breaker, yet the reliable and quiet machine has an operating weight of under 450 kg (1000 lb). It is the result of sophisticated details: There is the highly efficient airend with the optimised “SIGMA PROFILE”, there is the 1:1 direct drive with no transmission losses, and, last but not least, there is the modern, liquid cooled three cylinder diesel engine.
Furthermore, the „Mobilair 20“ has got KAESER’s patented “Anti-frost Control” as a standard feature, which comes in useful especially in spring and autumn, when temperatures are low, because it keeps the air tools from freezing and prevents corrosion, thus enhancing their reliability and service life. As would be expected, the new compressor’s workmanship leaves nothing to be desired; nor do its operability and its ease of maintenance: The powder coated body is made of zinc coated sheet metal to withstand corrosion. All serviceable parts are placed for easy access, and there is only one switch with which to operate the machine, the “how to” being clarified by clear pictograms at the instrument panel. |
