‘Compact’ series rotary blowers from Kaeser are renowned for their quiet, energy efficient performance and outstanding dependability, and the BB 68 C is no exception. Equipped with premium quality blower blocks, compact series blowers provide air deliveries from 500 mbar vacuum up to 1000 mbar (g). The BB 68 C offers a maximum air delivery of 5.9 m³/min at 1000 mbar (g), or a maximum volume flow rate of 5.9 m³/min at 500 mbar (a) vacuum. Meticulous design and logical component layout mean that this ‘Compact’ series blower requires minimal floor space of only 0.75 m²; maintenance work is also made simple, as these units are operated and accessed from the front. This not only significantly reduces maintenance costs, but also means that these units can be placed directly next to each other to maximise use of space. Furthermore, the energy efficiency of ‘Compact’ series systems is becoming increasingly important in view of today’s soaring energy prices: Each model is fitted with an energy-saving EU-eff1 rated motor as standard and features ‘Omega Profile’ rotors and a specially designed block housing to ensure low energy consumption. In addition, the blower and motor-cooling air are drawn in separately from outside of the system cabinet, which enhances both cooling and energy efficiency. This approach prevents the air from being pre-warmed and consequently enables greater flow capacity for the same drive power. Modern blower design and technology provides exceptional performance even with regards to sound emissions and pulsation of the conveying air: Wide-spectrum adsorption silencers on the intake and pressure sides now enable highly effective sound and pulsation damping - the silencers are fully effective throughout the entire frequency spectrum, i.e. at all speeds and duty points. The three-lobe “Omega Profile” rotor versions ensure low sound levels during operation and allow considerably decreased pulsation compared with standard rotor profiles. Specially designed enclosures keep sound levels to an absolute minimum and blowers are also available as super-soundproofed versions. “Compact” series blowers are the ideal choice for use in filtration plants and filter flushing applications associated with water treatment, as well as for pneumatic conveying and processes requiring vacuum. |
